Disaster Help Now is an extension of a website originally created to help
with the recovery from Hurricane Katrina. A similar site was designed to
help after the tragic Bernat Mill
Fire.
All three sites were created with the belief that nothing else can
move in a disaster until information moves. The power of the web
is still in its infancy as a tool for disaster response.
This site joins many superb resources on the web to help relieve the
suffering and speed rebuilding following a major disaster.
The site is designed, hosted, maintained, and updated entirely by
volunteers.
